We competed with Svala in a 24 hrs race on the Ijsselmeer last summer.
The goal of the race is to make as much miles you can in 24 hrs, via a lot of chooseabel courses between light buoys.
It a strategic race where you much choose the right courses to make as much miles in the available time, beforeyou finish in Medemblik.

There are different places to start around the Ujsselmeer, so the strategic planning start already before the race. That is why a polar diagram comes in very handy.
We were satisfied with our achievement; 130 nml. 254 of 546 ships reach the finish due to a lack of wind in the last part of the race. We reached the 34 place of 254.
